Emily Calhoun and Erica Jones first met as graduate students at the University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education. They learned quickly that they shared a passion for working with people with learning differences. With backgrounds in education, they found themselves teaching together at the same public school.
Erica went on to earn her Doctorate at The George Washington University. She quickly realized leaders needed professional development designed to learn to support individuals based on how their brains process information. With this in mind, Erica left the classroom and became a central office leader in a large public school district and began teaching graduate courses at two large institutions.
Emily dove into the science of learning and understanding the autistic brain. She focused on continued learning and work in developing executive functioning and social skills curricula while teaching and working as an Executive Function Coach.
Erica and Emily recognized a need for their expertise in the corporate world. Their passion and experience in management and the neurodivergent brain created Neurodiversity Consulting. Together, they bring a passion for more inclusive work environments that provide businesses with access to the untapped potential of the neurodivergent brain.
NDC embraces diversity within the human experience by empowering companies to access the untapped potential within the neurodivergent community.
NDC provides targeted diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training to maximize the untapped potential within the neurodivergent community. Through culturally responsive training, NDC elevates the abilities of organizational leaders to tap into the unique skills neurodivergent employees possess to maximize performance and outcomes. NDC works to ensure a brighter future for the neurodivergent and the organizations they serve.
